Geraldine 'Geri' Shearer



BADEN - Geraldine "Geri" Shearer, 60, of Baden, died Friday, June 17, 2005, in The Medical Center, Beaver.

Born
Dec. 18, 1944, in Sewickley, she was a daughter of the late Stephen and Elizabeth Winkfein Koman. She was the former owner of Sneakers Restaurant, West Hills Shopping Center, Moon Township, and was the current owner of K&N Restaurant in Ambridge. She was a member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Baden, and was an avid bowler.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James C. Shearer Sr. and two brothers, Chuck and Bob Koman.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Micki and John Serak, Pittsburgh; a son and daughter-in-law, James C. Jr. and Nicole Shearer, Butler; five grandchildren, Jimmy, Logan, Josh, Michael and Jacee; a sister, Mary Ann Koman, in Virginia; a brother, Steve Koman, in Michigan, and a longtime companion, Rodney Gowers.

Friends will be received Monday from 2 to 4 and
6 to 8 p.m. in the JOHN SYKA FUNERAL HOME, 833 Kennedy Drive, Ambridge, where prayers will be offered Tuesday at 9:30 a.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held Tuesday at
10 a.m. in St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church with Father Joseph Dascenzo officiating.

Interment will follow in
Sylvania Hills Memorial Park.

A Vigil service will be held Monday evening at
7 p.m. in the funeral home.
